Bio
Fatima is a scholar, educator, and activist. With degrees in medicine, public health, and public policy, she brings a scientific and social justice lens to her teaching. Fatima is passionate about helping students develop critical thinking skills specifically to understand how systems of oppression operate and to learn how to dismantle them. Fatima begins each course with an in-depth look at the inequitable distribution of resources and how colonization and capitalism are the root of all social problems impacting working class and poor people of color.
